This thesis presents the sustainability report of the certified Austrian chimney sweepers. It includes a description of the chimney sweeper's certification as well as a short timeline for the period between the development of the project in 2010 and the issuance of the report in 2012. This study focuses on the methodology of data collection used to generate the sustainability report. The author presents and discusses the two tools used to create the report, GRI and EMAS III VO. Additionally, as part of the exploration into the techniques for the data collection, the author details the contextual work required and the processes used to create the report. The assembled data contains the direct and indirect environmental consequences, as well as the results of the customer satisfaction survey completed by all participating companies. The thesis' conclusion includes a discussion of the results and an outlook of planned projects in the future.
